The man pointed out as the mastermind behind the failed attempt to export a pound of ganja, got $200,000 bail in the Corporate Area Resident Magis-trate's Court on Monday.

Anju Brown from Greater Portmore, St Catherine, is charged with possession, dealing and taking steps to export ganja and conspiracy.

According to the allegations, Brown is connected to one man's attempt to export 52 pellets of ganja at the Norman Manley International Airport.

This amounted to one pound of ganja. The investigating officer told the court that the man caught exporting the drugs, said he was forced to carry the drug. The police indicated that the man had several bruises across his body suggesting that he was heavily 'forced' to carry the drug.

Brown, 24, student, was denied bail at his first appearnce in court, however, he was more fortunate on Monday. He is to report to the police once per week and should return to court on December 1.
