COPS HOLD MAN AFTER 'FLOSSING' ❒ Allegedly gave $500,000 to female friend Main

A 'kind-hearted' 'flosser' from Montego Bay, St James, yesterday became the sixth man to be arrested in connection with the January 15 disappearance of $44,000,000 from an armoured truck in Kingston.

The man was said to have been arrested after his flashy and generous ways caused persons to alert the police.

Speaking with THE WEEKEND STAR Superintendent Cornwall 'Bigga' Ford, head of the Flying Squad, said the man was one of two persons picked up in western Jamaica yesterday in connection the heist. The second person hails from Hanover.

Reports are that the sudden rise to prosperity of the Montego Bay-based man raised the eyebrows of the people around him as he started purchasing high-end assets and became excessively charitable.

Ford said there were even reports that the 'good samaritan' gave half of a million dollars to a female friend. Other substantial amounts were given to other friends. Ford said that two recently purchased cars, one a high-end Honda, were also seized upon the arrest of the man.

The police officer said that four other suspects were already arrested following operations in St Catherine and St Andrew, including a security guard that was employed to the security company at the time of the heist. Charges are expected to be laid against the arrested man today.
