LIME, Jamaica’s only full service telecoms company, recently completed the sale of a comprehensive voice telephony solution for National Commercial Bank (NCB), which will significantly upgrade the communication system at the Bank’s major locations.
LIME collaborated with AVAYA, a global leader in enterprise communications systems, to provide a custom-designed solution which will enhance NCB’s internal and external telephony communications and strengthen the operations of the Bank’s Call Centre. The Internet Protocol (IP) based system will enable NCB to increase productivity and further improve customer experience.
The advanced features of the new system include upgraded call management software for NCB’s Call Centre to ensure faster answer times for incoming calls and less abandoned calls. The Bank will also be able to expand its customer support through a more sophisticated Interactive Voice Recording (IVR) platform which will empower customers to carry out self service and transact business at their own convenience.
The IP-based solution will also facilitate seamless business continuity as customer service agents and other bank personnel will be able to take customer calls and assist clients from remote locations in the event that main office sites are temporarily compromised by natural disasters or any unforeseen occurrences.
The Bank will also be well positioned to extend its customer reach with interactive multimedia technology utilizing various communication channels including the web, emails and other online media.
LIME’s Managing Director for Jamaica & Cayman, Garry Sinclair said: “For us at LIME it’s not just about selling telecoms services but about partnering with our corporate clients to design and install unique solutions that will help their businesses to achieve the goals they set. NCB is a longstanding, highly-valued partner and we are proud to be able to empower them to be even better equipped to continue to drive productivity and achieve profitability.”
He added: “The fact that LIME continues to be the telecoms partner of choice for a major corporation like NCB underscores our position as the premier provider for Corporate and Government entities when it comes to mission critical connectivity.”
NCB’s Managing Director, Patrick Hylton said: "NCB sees LIME as a strategic partner who will help to improve our customer experience through the provision of a reliable and efficient telecommunications solution. We anticipate an ongoing working relationship that will augur well for enhanced service delivery and thank the company for its commitment to meeting our corporate needs."
