A physical education (PE) teacher at a St Catherine high school was arrested recently after he was accused of fondling several students at the institution's gym.
The teacher appeared in the Linstead Resident Magistrate's Court where he pleaded not guilty and was granted bail.
A lawyer representing the teacher, told the court his client was not a flight risk and lived a clean life prior to the allegation.
Bail was granted on condition that the accused returns to the court on December 15.
The court heard that the teacher allegedly started fondling a number of female students from 2008 to September 2010. The court heard that reports on his conduct was made to administrators of the institution.
A subsequent report was made to the Linstead police in St Catherine and following investigations he was charged with five counts of indecent assault.
